Jeffrey Bonacci is organizing a drive to Luray Caverns and its Car & Carriage Caravan Museum on June 2.
Sunday, June 2nd, The SVBCC will host a drive to The Mimslyn Inn in Luray for their Sunday Brunch followed by a tour of the Luray Caverns, The Car and Carriage Museum, Shenandoah Heritage Village and Toy Town Junction.
We will plan to meet at 10:45 AM in the parking lot of the Dupont Community Credit Union, 200 East Broad Street in Waynesboro for departure at 11:00 AM. (There are two other branches of the Credit Union in Waynesboro so note that we will be meeting at the Riverside Branch.)
It should take about an hour to Caravan North on Route 340 to Luray (about 55 miles) for brunch (which is currently $28 per person) followed by a very short drive to the Caverns. Admission for adults to the Luray Caverns is $34 ($32 for seniors) and includes a self guided tour of the Caverns as well as admission to the Car and Carriage Museum, Shenandoah Heritage Village and Toy Town Junction.
The Car and Carriage Museum really has an impressive and eclectic collection of vehicles, whether powered by real horses or petrol! Of course, the Caverns are spectacular too, so please plan to join us for this excursion. Please send an RSVP (including how many will be in your group) to jeffbonacci@gmail.com by Sunday, May 26th.
