The Chicken Run was a great success with about 10 cars, including a VERY rare 1933 L1 Magna Salonette MG owned by Mike Hughes.
About 20 people participating sometime during the run. It turned out to be a beautiful warm day for the drive.
We left the Greenville Pilot Travel Center on time and unfortunately immediately lost one car due to a vapor lock. The rest pressed ahead on what turned out to be a slightly shortened trip on back roads between Stuarts Draft and Timber Ridge. Time was running long and the Raphine Fire Dept. chicken was getting cold. (Actual time would have been about 2 hours)
The final stop was at Sam and Roxanne’s back yard under the apple trees, with a few extra members who couldn’t make the drive but did join the picnic.
A good time was had by all and I STILL have a freezer full of chicken. Next time more of you need to join in.
Cheers,
Sam K
