DESCRIPTION:MICHAEL’S SKYLINE WILDFLOWER TOUR\nSaturday\, April 25th (rain date May 2nd)\nSponsor: Sean O’Malley \nThe Skyline Drive is a 105-mile National Parkway that runs the entire length of the Shenandoah\nNational Park in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia\, generally along the ridge of the\nmountains. It is a two-lane road that has 75 overlooks providing views of the Shenandoah\nValley to the west and the Piedmont to the east.\nIn 2015\, club member Michael Brittingham suggested a Spring tour from the southern entrance\nat Rockfish Gap up to Skyland to take in the views and wildflowers. In tribute to Michael\, who\nrecently departed\, this tour is a chance to escape to the mountain tops and soak up the beauty\nof it all!\nWHEN: April 25th\, 2026 (rain date May 2nd) 9:00 AM; departure at 9:30\nWHERE: Meet near the Rockfish Gap (South Entrance) East of Waynesboro\, VA off Highway 250\n– Gather at the old Howard Johnson’s parking lot off Howardsville Tpke. (RockfishGap/Afton).\nClose to where Route 250 and Howardsville Tpke meet.\nEnter Skyline Drive at Rockfish Gap Entrance Station.
