DESCRIPTION:Mark your calendar – this is the big one that you don’t want to miss! Expect to see 100 – 200 British cars from several states\, all gathered in a beautiful park setting. \nThis show will be staged among the massive trees and lovely views of Ridgeview Park in Waynesboro. There will be an on-site food vendor\, lots of door prizes\, and trophies for class winners! Last year\, we had over 120 cars. \nBritish Classics\, British Motorcycles as well as British DNA & Kit Cars are welcome! Our featured marques for 2025 are the Classic Mini & the Modern MINI. \nThe show is held at Ridgeview Park in Waynesboro\, VA 22980.  There will be directional signs to help find the park.  The address of the park is 700 S Magnolia Ave\, but entry for registration is via S. Linden Avenue. \nTo register\, and for up-to-date information\, visit our Car Show page. \nHere is the schedule of events: \n\n8:00am – Show field opens; coffee & donuts at the welcome tent\n8:30 – 11:00am – Registration will be open\n11:00am – 2:00pm – Voting (by car entrants)\n11:30 – Food vendors begin serving lunch\n\nMusic will be provided throughout the event and there are restrooms onsite.

This British Only show has been on the same weekend at the same location for 46 years. The Rocks State Park 4H Camp is an excellent country setting in rural Harford County\, MD. Multiple classes of MG’s are awarded as well as awards for 8 other British Marques. Awards are by popular vote by the car owners. DESCRIPTION:A Preview Of the Merrie Mill Farms 5th Annual Vintage British Car Show by Dave Eames: \nSince I have come to know Guy Pelly\, an Englishman and co-owner of the Merrie Mill Farm and Vineyard\, I have sponsored every one of these events since they started in 2021. Following each of these car shows\, I meet with Guy and we review what went right and what could be improved. So after last year’s event I asked several of our members for their comments and two areas of improvement were noted which both related to the lack of food and music “Britishness”. I therefore recommended that Guy invites “The Pie Guy” and “Local Vocals” and this year he has managed to secure them both. Shirley and I have sampled The Pie Guy’s pies which reflect his training when he worked at a bakery in Australia (a former British Colony!) We have also seen Local Vocals on numerous occasions; they play music from the 60s & 70s and will be the best band this British car show has seen so far! Check out their website for a sample of their music.\nA few days ago\, Guy emailed me this flyer advertising the event. I think we\, as a club\, should continue spreading the word for Guy and copying it to all of our local Virginia British car clubs…I will provide an event update and a reminder in the August Newsletter.

He began with aluminum\, later found that steel worked better for his purposes. He formed the shapes over a solid buck\, then wood frames\, then steel rods\, making body sections for a Lotus Eleven\, an Amilcar\, and finally several Alfa Romeos. We’ll work our way down (up?) the valley toward our final stop at Salerno’s Wood Fired Pizza and Tap House at 115 S Jefferson St in historic downtown Lexington.
